Graduate Teaching and Research Assistantships in Applied Physics (APPH) and Atmospheric Physics (ATPH)

The Physics Department at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) offers graduate teaching and research assistantships for students in the Applied Physics and Atmospheric Physics Programs. All students, both domestic and international, are eligible for these assistantships.  These assistantships are for 12 months and carry a stipend up to $20,000 plus tuition remission up to 23 graduate course credits and full health benefits. They are available for study starting each Fall and Spring semesters.

A listing of the research opportunities for the Research Assistantships in the Physics Department and its Research Centers can be seen at http://physics.umbc.edu. The Department recently moved into a new $25,000,000 building with outstanding research facilities, and has research centers in conjunction with NASA Goddard in Astrophysics and Atmospheric Physics.
