PhD students win awards at international conferences.

Adriana Lima-Roche (pictured left) received the Atmospheric Sciences Outstanding Student Paper Award at the American Geophysical Union Fall Meeting (December 2013) in San Francisco, CA for her worked titled “Imaginary refractive index and other microphysical properties of volcanic ash, Sarahan dust, and other mineral aerosols”.

John Sullivan’s (pictured right) poster presentation titled “Initial Results Obtained from a Differential Absorption Lidar (DIAL) to Measure Tropospheric Ozone” was selected as the best poster in the 18th Joint Conference on the Applications of Air Pollution Meteorology during the 94th American Meteorological Society Meeting (February 2014) in Atlanta, GA.
