An introduction to the properties of materials, including crystallography and texture, diffraction and microscopic techniques, plastic deformation of
metals, defects in materials diffusion, equilibrium phase diagrams and order-disorder transformation.
Prerequisites: PHYS 303 and 324 or consent of instructor.
The course is suitable for physics and engineering students, both senior undergraduate and graduate.
