Sebastian Deffner, assistant professor of physics, has been selected as the winner of the 2016 Leon Heller Postdoctoral Publication Prize in Theoretical Physics. This prize is awarded biennially for the best paper in theoretical physics published by a postdoc at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. Dr. Deffner's publication, “Jarzynski Equality in PT-Symmetric Quantum Mechanics”, was published in Physical Review Letters in April 2015.
