Lipi Mukherjee receives NESSF fellowship
Lipi Mukherjee (working in Dr. Pengwang Zhai’s group), was awarded for 2017 NASA Earth and Space Science Fellowship (NESSF). This is a highly competitive and prestigious fellowship. NASA received a total of 385 applications in Earth Science Research and only selected 69 for award. This prestigious fellowship is awarded initially for a year with maximum two more renewals contingent on satisfactory progress and funding.
In addition to Lipi, two other Physics students, Brent McBride (Dr. Vanderlei Martins’ group) and Daniel Miller (Dr. Zhibo Zhang’s group), were also awarded NESSF in 2016 and 2014, respectively.
