Dr. Todd Pittman elected as Fellow of the Optical Society
Dr. Todd Pittman, UMBC Professor of Physics, was recently honored as a 2020 Fellow Member of The Optical Society (OSA). Founded in 1916, OSA is the leading professional association in optics and photonics, home to accomplished science, engineering, and business leaders from all over the world. Dr. Pittman was one of 94 individuals recognized by OSA for their significant contributions to the advancement of optics and photonics. Dr. Pittman was specifically cited "for pioneering contributions to quantum optics and quantum information processing with photons."
