UG researcher Kassidy Kollmann wins AAS Chambliss Award
Senior undergraduate Kassidy Kollmann was recently awarded an American Astronomical Society (AAS) Chambliss Award for her poster presentation at the (virtual) 237th AAS meeting in January 2021. The Chambliss Awards are given to recognize exemplary research by undergraduate and graduate students who present at one of the poster sessions at the meetings of the AAS. Awardees are honored with a Chambliss medal. Kassidy has been working with Dr. Eileen Meyer on multi-wavelength observations of jets from black holes. The work presented at the meeting is currently in preparation for submission to the journal Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society.
