Title Principal Lecturer Education Ph.D. Physics – Kansas State University, 2006 Previous Experience I joined the Physics Department at UMBC in 2006 as a Lecturer and I was promoted as Senior Lecturer in 2014. I was a Teaching Assistant Professor at North Carolina State University from 2014-2015. I rejoined UMBC in 2015 as Senior Lecturer and was promoted to Principal Lecturer in 2021. Professional Interests My research is on Physics Education, a field whose purpose of existence is to identify the students’ difficulties in learning physics and to develop innovative teaching methods to meet these challenges. Working with my colleagues, I help develop and implement the latest teaching innovations whenever possible. I am passionate and committed to help students learn in the introductory physics courses. |
