Congrats to Dr. Barbosa on Excellence in Research Award

We are delighted to announce that Dr. Henrique Barbosa has been selected as the recipient of the 2023 LHFA Excellence in Research and Creative Achievement Award. This award recognizes exceptional research contributions made by a Latino/Hispanic faculty member at UMBC, regardless of career stage or department affiliation. LHFA (Latino and Hispanic Faculty Association) is an affinity group at UMBC that strives to promote the retention and advancement of Latino and Hispanic faculty members, as well as mentoring and recruitment of outstanding undergraduate and graduate students of Hispanic and Latino heritage.
