AIP recognizes UMBC Physics Department
The American Institute of Physics (AIP) recognizes the UMBC Physics Department for awarding a large percentage of PhD's to women.
AIP recently released a comprehensive report providing a detailed analysis of the representation and participation of women in physics and astronomy fields. UMBC was recognized as one of only 21 Physics Departments in the US that awarded 30% or more of their PhD's to women.
