Dr. Steve Guimond wins significant NSF grant.

Dr. Steve Guimond (Principal Investigator of the Geophysical Fluid Dynamics (GFD) group at UMBC) was initially funded under a UMBC START grant, which led to the selection of a major NSF proposal to study the fluid mechanics of turbulence and hurricane intensification.
